In this blog, we don't want to engage in greenwashing, but simply let the facts speak for themselves. What are we at Vegavero specifically doing regarding sustainability and environmental protection? We'll simply list five examples that we consider important and have already implemented.

Paper tape instead of plastic

Adhesive tape is usually made of plastic. Polypropylene (PP) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) often form the basis for such adhesive tapes. We opted for adhesive paper tape. It's not perfect, but we believe it's a step in the right direction.

CO2-neutral shipping of our packages

We ship CO2-neutrally with DHL. This means that all emissions generated during transport to you are offset. If you would like to learn more about CO2-neutral shipping with DHL and the projects behind it, simply click here.

Green electricity – 100% renewable energy

We use green electricity from renewable sources. Our partner is Greenpeace Energy. Greenpeace Energy uses 100% hydropower and wind power. This means that not only are our products vegan, but so is our electricity, because no biomass is used to generate electricity.

We have everything under one "solar" roof

Our "home" is in the leafy north of Berlin, in one of the most beautiful commercial areas, the Econoparks. This is where the Vegavero team is based. It is home to part of Berlin's largest photovoltaic system. With an area of 43,000 m² and an annual production of 5.8 million kilowatt hours, it is the largest photovoltaic system in Berlin. The achieved savings of 5,000 tons of CO2 are equivalent to planting 400,000 newly planted trees.

Even the "little" things matter

This means, among other things, that we rely on manufacturers of sustainable cleaning products for our office cleaning. This involves both the right ingredients and avoiding animal testing.

These are just a few examples, and we're at the beginning of a long journey. But we assure you that we're doing this because we believe it's right, not just to write this blog. We'll be adding more examples soon. For example, we use the website atmosfair.de to offset our trips to producers, partners, or even to a trade fair in a CO2-neutral way.

And above all, of course, is the origin of Vegavero. The reason we exist in the first place. From the very beginning, our approach was to produce exclusively vegan nutritional supplements, without exception, many of them organic. This has a health aspect, on the one hand. But at the same time, we are concerned with animal welfare and environmental protection. All of this is part of our "Vegavero DNA."
