The bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is a citrus fruit native to southern Italy that has been used in traditional medicine for generations (to naturally support circulation and healthy

cholesterol levels/blood sugar levels). Research suggests that the antioxidative power of bergamot is attributed to so-called bioflavonoids, a group of polyphenols, naturally

occurring in high amounts in the fruits. 

Our capsules contain 625 mg of a high-strength bergamot fruit extract (15:1) which is equivalent to 9.375 mg of the dried fruit. The extract is standardized to contain at least

40% of the beneficial bioflavonoids. 

As usual, our citrus bergamot supplement is free from additives and suitable for vegans.

SPECIALLY DEVELOPED FOR

• Compared to other citrus fruits, the fruits of the bergamot tree have an exceptionally high content of health-promoting polyphenols. Studies suggest that these phytochemicals have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties (and improve fat and sugar metabolism etc).

• The skin and juice of the bergamot are common ingredients in Italian folk medicine.
• The fruit is named after the city of Bergamo in Italy where it was first sold.
