Our goal with our L-Tryptophan Plus product was to combine ingredients that would create optimal synergy and bioavailability. For this reason, we combined our naturally derived L-Tryptophan with highly bioavailable Magnesium and Vitamin B6, as they are supporting elements in L-tryptophan´s conversion into serotonin and melatonin. This means we provide a natural alternative to synthetic sleep or anxiety relief supplements.
Moreover, Vitamin B6 and Magnesium contribute to normal psychological and nervous functions. To keep the product as natural as possible we also added Valeriana officinalis, the most well-known natural remedy for fighting sleep and anxiety disorders. Of course, our supplement does not contain any additives commonly found in other products such as magnesium stearate or microcrystalline cellulose. As always, it is completely vegan and non-GMO.
SPECIALLY DEVELOPED FOR
L -Tryptophan is an essential amino acid: the body cannot synthesise it and it must be obtained from the food. It is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. Also, it is an important precursor for the endogenous synthesis of the neurotransmitters serotonin, melatonin, and vitamin B3 (niacin). For this reason, it could be useful for people with mood instability or sleep disorders.
Magnesium and Vitamin B6 have a lot of benefits. They contribute to normal functioning of the nervous system and to normal psychological function.
Valeriana is a well-known Indian traditional medicinal herb and is used as sleep remedy. It has been used over the years to treat nervous anxiety and sleep disorders.
GOOD TO KNOW
We recommend taking the product before going to bed with a carbohydrate source (like a banana) and without a protein-rich meal, as other amino acids inhibit the absorption of L-Tryptophan in the brain.
In 1901 the British biochemists Frederick Gowland Hopkins and Sydney W. Cole discovered tryptophan in the milk protein casein.
Eating a banana can cheer you up: Bananas are the only fruit to contain tryptophan and b-vitamins which together can help the body to produce serotonin.
