NATURAL IMMUNE SYSTEM SUPPORT
Our unique Beta Glucan Immu Pro Complex is designed to support the body’s natural defense system by combining beta glucan with immune-boosting vitamins. Our formula consists of only high-quality ingredients from entirely natural sources.
Apart from vegan vitamin D3 from lichen and vitamin C from acerola extract, we added three different beta glucan sources, all providing valuable (1,3-) and (1,6-) beta glucans: We included Yestimun, a branded raw material made from brewer’s yeast that has been extensively studied, as well as BetaVia, another beta glucan-providing ingredient, sustainably sourced from the alga Euglena gracilis. Finally, our third source of beta glucan is Shiitake mushroom extract which also provides other types of polysaccharides. Per daily dosage our immune system complex provides 642 mg of beta glucan. Of course, our product is non-GMO, suitable for vegans and free from synthetic additives, commonly added to beta glucan tablets or capsules.
BETA-WHAT?
- Beta-glucans are types of polysaccharides which are found in cereals such as oats and barley, in some algae, as well as mushrooms and yeast.
- Their properties are related to their origin and chemical structure.
- Beta-glucan chains from cereal contain so-called beta-1,3 and beta-1,4 bonds. In contrast, yeast or mushroom beta-glucans are characterised by beta-1,3 bonds and beta-1,6 bonds.
GOOD TO KNOW
Humans do not have the enzymes to digest beta glucans. They arrive intact in the small intestine, where some of them act as dietary fibres (beta-1,3/1,4-glucans) and others as bioactive substances on the cells of the immune system (beta-1,3/1,6-glucans).
