UNIQUE AND WELL THOUGHT-OUT FORMULA
We have developed a GABA supplement that considers the optimal synergy and bioavalaibility of its ingredients. In our product we combine GABA with Green Tea extract standardized to 30% L-Theanine, as well as Vitamin B6. L-Theanine increases the body's own GABA production and has a high bioavailability, meaning it is easily absorbed into the brain. Vitamin B6 is not only a co-factor for the production of GABA. It also contributes to normal psychological function and thus makes a useful addition to our product. Of course, our supplement doesn't contain any additives commonly found in other GABA products such as magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose or even gelatin, making them unsuitable for vegans. As always, our supplement is completely vegan and non-GMO!
GABA (γ-aminobutyric acid) is a naturally occuring amino acid which works as a neurotransmitter in the brain. Neurotransmitter are ""chemical messengers"": the role of GABA is to block or inhibit certain brain signals and decrease the activity in the nervous system. When it attaches to GABA receptors in the brain, it causes a calming effect.
GOOD TO KNOW
- We recommend taking the product in the evening or in general before going to bed.
- Avoid coffee when taking GABA, as the caffeine inhibits the ability of GABA to bind to its receptors.
- Research has revealed that probiotic foods such as yogurt, kefir, kimchi and sauerkraut can increase GABA levels. They contain the GABA-producing bacterial strains Lactobacillus brevis and Bifidobacterium dentium.
- Another very effective way to increase GABA levels is to do sports - especially yoga. GABA levels in the brain can increase up to 27% after just one yoga session.
