MONACOLIN K FROM RED RICE YEAST
Red yeast rice powder is obtained by fermenting rice with a type of yeast called Monascus purpureus. During this process, substances are formed that give the rice an intense red color.
One of the main active components of red yeast rice are monacolins, with monacolin K being the most abundant one. To comply with the new European regulation on monacolins, our carefully fermented red rice powder contains 2,9 mg monacolins, of which 76% is monacolin K.
