UNIQUE STUDY-BASED FORMULATION
Fructose malabsorption, formerly called dietary fructose intolerance, is a limited possibility of transporting fructose from the small intestine into the body cells. As a result fructose enters the large intestine, where it causes trouble. It is fairly common, affecting up to 1 in 3 people. Common symptoms are for example nausea, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting and also malabsorption of certain nutrients such as iron, zinc, folic acid and tryptophan. Our Fructo-X is a unique supplement with a study-based formulation. It contains 2x10^9 CFU viable lactic acid bacteria, L-Tryptophan and Folic acid (which often in people with fructose intolerance are too low) and Nutriose a fermentable resistant dextrin with high fibre content and prebiotic effect. And of course, our Fructo-X supplement is suitable for vegans and free from any additives such as microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate or gelatine.
SPECIALLY DEVELOPED FOR
People with fructose intolerance often suffer from a lack of zinc, folic acid and tryptophan which can result in listlessness, frequent colds, and depressive moods. An adequate supply of vital substances is therefore the be-all and end-all for fructose intolerance.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Fructose is a simple sugar (monosaccharide), that comes from fruit and some vegetables, but it is also found in honey, agave nectar, and many processed foods that contain added sugars (cereal bars, juices, ice cream, sweets)
- The consumption of fructose has increased over 1,000% just from 1970–1990. It’s possible that this rise in consumption has led to an increase in fructose malabsorption and intolerance.
- Symptoms for fructose malabsorption include nausea, bloating, gas, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, chronic fatigue, malabsorption of certain nutrients, such as iron.
