ORGANIC OREGANO OIL IN VEGAN CAPSULES
Our Oregano oil comes from controlled organic cultivation in India. Our high-quality oil is cold-pressed and standardised in 70% carvacrol and 2,5% thymol which are the most important phytochemical compounds because of their various health benefits. Carvacrol and Thymol are known for their pungent warm odour which is typical for Oregano and other Mediterranean herbs.
Each of our capsules contains 129 mg of pure, organic oregano oil, of which 90 mg carvacrol and 3,5 mg thymol. Most oregano oil capsules contain gelatine animal-derived making them unsuitable for vegans, and also contain additives. For our product we use pure oregano oil in vegan capsules that are free from gelatine and any additives.
WHY OREGANO OIL?
Oregano is very rich in plant-based antioxidants like carvacrol and thymol. The bioavailability of oregano oil is also much higher than that of dried plant extracts. The health benefits of oregano oil are based on its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Our essential oregano oil is obtained by water steam distillation of the fresh or dried, flowering herb. Hot water steam is used as a carrier for the volatile organic compounds. Due to the non-miscibility of the organic compounds with water, the phases readily separate upon cooling and the essential oil can be easily separated.
- We do not recommend taking Oregano Oil during pregnancy since it can trigger premature contractions.
