NATURAL & VEGAN VITAMIN E SUPPLEMENT
Vitamin E is a group of antioxidants called tocotrienols and tocopherols. Most vitamin E supplements contain only tocopherols. Unfortunately, they are often of synthetic or semi-synthetic origin using soybean oil as a base which can be problematic for people with allergies. Besides, compared to tocotrienols, tocopherols have an inferior antioxidant activity.
We use the clinically tested rice bran extract TheraPrimE, containing a unique mix of high amounts of tocotrienols naturally combined with tocopherols. In addition, our capsules provide an ideal dose of 12 mg of this bioavailable vitamin E, which corresponds to 100% of the Nutrient Recommended Value. Many other vitamin E supplements are overdosed, raising the risk for potential side effects of an excessive vitamin E intake.
Many Vitamin E softgels also contain gelatine. For our vegan vitamin E capsules, we use GreenCaps that are free from gelatine, chemical fillers and other synthetic additives.
THE IMPORTANCE OF VITAMIN E
Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Vitamin E is found in cell membranes where it protects their integrity.
- Alpha-tocopherol is the least biologically active form of vitamin E. A high vitamin E value (up to 400 IU) is therefore of little importance, much more important is the presence of the biologically active (beta, delta and gamma) tocopherols and in particular tocotrienols.
