Moringa is called the “miracle tree” because in many cultures every part of the plant can be used in traditional cooking, teas, natural remedies, and other practical ways.

Our Moringa comes from India where it has a century-long history of use in ayurveda. The dried leaf powder is tested by both the manufacturer and a German lab for microbial contaminants.

Moringa leaves are eaten regularly as part of some tropical and subtropical diets. That might suggest safety of long-term use, however, scientific evidence on this question is limited. Therefore, no certain answer can be provided.

Moringa, like all green leafy vegetables, has numerous minerals and vitamins. And since the powder is dried, it even has a relatively high percentage of protein. However, since the total amount of dried moringa that is consumed is very small, it does not contribute meaningful amounts of nutrients to the daily diet, with the possible exception of Vitamin B2. More relevant are the moringa-specific secondary plant metabolites like glucosinolates which we test for in our products.
